Numbers
Still working on my sketchbook assignment. I am ahead now. Out of boredom or try to do something new, I've started to write numbers.Because I was using different colours, I started to loose track after writing 160.So I started from 400 then I was writing from 120 heading 160. Then I started writing any numbers which was a lot easier to fill the space. Then I started to write ON the numbers. I got bored with numbers so I almost started to write alphabets then I had to stick with the original plan. I didn't know when to stop because you can count numbers forever. Eventually I got tired and stop writing numbers and looking forward to do more creative work. So I learned again about limits, sticking with rules but don't be afraid to experiemnet and always try try try.
Using Right Brain VS Left Brain
As I am watching this documentary about Jean-Michel Basquiat,
he was influenced by many different artists such as Andy Warhol, Picasso etc...
It's really amazing that JM Basquiat portrait turns out to be looking like.
It's either black Andy Warhol or white JM Basquiat and his mouth and eyes became distorted while Picasso was in the back of my head.
By doing this homework, I am finding out my habits and how my brain works when I am creating something. I am glad that I am finally exploring how I respond to things and willing to open up more about using different techniques, mediums and find out how to draw or paint collaborating balances between perspective and unconsciousness
#8
This is actual #8
I am not good at counting.
Just trying to finish my homework but this sketchbook assignment has been nice warm-up to work on my actual portfolios. Still two more to go.
